John Abernethy Lynas Gray (1869-1937) was born in Oxton, Cheshire but later lived in Caernarvonshire. He studied at The
Liverpool School of Art and also in London. He painted mainly landscapes and genre pictures.
He exhibited at the Walker Art Gallery and also the Royal Cambrian Academy.
